Let’s look
at this from several angles. Khairy Jamaluddin at SOME angles is pleasing to
look at. At other angles he is perplexing. He chooses neither side. He yells
moderation yet appears at the Muafakat Nasional assembly. He vocalizes his
disappointment when NAJIB is reintroduced to the whole political kerfuffle that
is PAS and UMNO.
He almost
stood for the DAWN OF A NEW UMNO…and all of a sudden after a few GQ poses later
he becomes frustratingly dormant. In his defense he did launch a rakyat
economic initiative called THE CENTRE that is aimed at the rakyat’s financial
management issues. Yeah great. THE RAKYAT TAK PAHAM MACAM MANA NAK PAKAI THE
CENTRE KOT because EN KJ…the whole concept seems a tad elitist.
Where is the
mountain mover and tectonic trembler that we were expecting him to be. We
expected him to be the voice of reason against the unreasonable nature of
Muafakat’s political will. We expected him to represent THE MELAYU MODERATE.
Ever since
he spotted that scruffy facial foliage he calls a beard he seems to have lost
his voice and his determination. The way we see it Khairy got anesthetized.
This made us wonder WHY? WHY is one the most ambitious career politician in
recent times subdued? Was he told to SHADDAP? Is he sitting in the trenches
avoiding zipping bullets? Sitting pretty and posing for a bunch of monotone
glamour shots until called upon? Is he a lost RONIN seeking to serve a new
master?
This is a
stark contrast to the KJ that voiced out possible solutions to current issues
less than a year ago. Whatever your ‘roadblock’ is WAKE UP!! SOMEBODY NEEDS TO
OFFSET THE NAJIB, ZAHID AND HADIs of this world.
Maybe just
maybe KJ you need to STOP posing like a HERO for the camera and start ACTING
like a HERO for the rakyat. Be the voice against any form of fanatical
extremism. Be the HERO that seeks to vanquish that ugly vermin called racism.
Be the new UMNO that we all need you to be. Carry on your shoulders the will
and intent of TUNKU ABDUL RAHMAN when he laid down the tenets of a BETTER
MALAYSIA. OUR BETTER MALAYSIA.
Perhaps
this can be your new catchphrase Khairy – TAKKAN HILANG MELAYU MODERATE DI
DUNIA.
